Dead Sea also known as salt sea. It is a landlocked salt lake between Israel and Jordan in southwestern Asia. Dead Sea is widely believed to be the place where the community of Lut (Peace Be Upon Him) was destroyed.

Dead sea is considered to be the sight of punishment to the community of Lut (Peace Be Upon Him ) who was ignorant and rejected Allah’s order. These people were involved in immoral sexual activities.According to the Quran, the punishment was to “turn the cities upside down”.
